Craigmore is on the lookout for a People & Culture Advisor to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in supporting the people who help grow New Zealand’s horticulture sector, while contributing to meaningful HR initiatives that support and shape a positive workplace culture.
About the Role
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this role focuses on supporting our dynamic horticulture teams. With the support of our Recruitment Coordinator, you'll lead end-to-end recruitment across multiple sites, while also advising managers on employment relations, HR best practices, and delivering on Craigmore’s people strategy.
You’ll build strong relationships with operational leaders, provide trusted advice, coach for capability growth, and help embed policies, frameworks, and cultural values that empower our teams and drive results.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading recruitment for permanent and seasonal roles across horticulture
- Advising and supporting managers on all HR matters including ER, performance, and development
- Coaching people leaders to build confidence and capability
- Supporting learning and development and engagement initiatives
- Contributing to HR projects and policy updates
- Championing onboarding, induction, and compliance processes
Desired Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR Generalist or Advisory role
- At least 2 years of hands-on recruitment experience
- Sound understanding of NZ employment law
- Strong relationship-building and coaching skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and highly organised
- Experience in the horticulture sector is a bonus (but not essential)
